I just had to send this letter to the makers of Tightvac. Your product has been a very useful container in my house. I am a single father who only sees his son every weekend. Of course I keep all the necessary kids food items stocked in my kitchen. I was frustrated that his cereal was always getting stale after about a week or two and we had just opened the box! I tried different containers but they did not help much. After purchasing the Tightvac set I found that the cereal stayed very fresh for months. The smaller containers worked great for trail mix, cookies and other snacks. One time I even used the lid as a bowl for his snacks and it worked great! Since my discovery, I have given the Tightvac set as a gift to my mom, as a housewarming present, and even a Wedding gift to friends and they all agree that this container really works.

I've purchased this type of item several times in the past at stores like "Bed Bath & Beyond", and none of the containers I purchased previously hold a candle to yours.
I live in Miami, Florida, where the humidity level is always very high, and unlike all of the so-called air-tight food containers I have purchased in the past, your containers keep all of the foods I store in them incredibly fresh, dry and crisp for an unlimited amount of time! I also love the ease of opening & closing them.

We have been using tightvac containers for three years for storage on our boat. We use every size. In a sailboat you have constant banging and movement of almost everything in the food and personal departments. These containers have helped immensely with the problems of shattering, pulverizing and break-up of stored foods during rough weather. Small cotter pins and like tools can be kept safe and dry. Clean-up after rough weather is much easier and less expensive; food no longer comes out of plastic bags. Moisture and odor are eliminated, and on a boat it is absolutely crucial to ensure that coffee, flour, beans, etc. are kept in their natural state. Fruits and vegetables keep better in a tight container in a refrigerator. Dried foods keep because no moisture can get to them. We use them for an endless variety of foods and necessities - potato chips, spices, tea, granola, cosmetics, coffee filters, vitamins, jewelry, medications, chocolate, crackers, pasta - you name it. Rough weather can ruin everything - you can lose hundreds of dollars worth of food very easily. Before tightvac we used to have to triple plastic bags- even with that moisture could still get in. Thank you for making a product that really works!

Just wanted to tell you that i have succeeded in turning my coffee and tea cabinet into a living display of your nifty products! now my yummy-goodness will stay that way! oh! and i took a container and my catalog up the street to my friend delia and turned her on. she owns one of my fave places, The Tipsy Teapot which is a tea parlor and store/restaurant/used bookstore/live music venue. i think she is going to use them and stock them. plus i took one over to my friend katherine who sells coffee out of her boutique and she wanted to know if she could get all solid black so she could put a fancy girly label on them...

Hopefully the mailman that stole mine wont decide he needs a set of these. What a jerk the mailman was, I have a locked mailbox, the mailman either took them for himself, or placed these in another locked mailbox, the mail supervisor had the reliable mailman open every box to try to try to see what happened. When days when the good mailman is off, we have the worst mailman in Sarasota. I think they had a national contest to find the worst mailman in America, and then we got him.

LOL that was fast. Your either overseas or your a night owl like myself. Yes that answers my questions. So it creates a partial vacuum in order to create the seal if I understood you correctly. Reason I ask all the questions is I'm putting together a long term 3-5 year bulk food supply. These containers seem great for repacking food items you have opened from storage and are in the process of consuming. 1 year is more then ideal for that. I'll try a few and then get more if they work out. Thanks for the speedy reply. I do allot of online shopping and you now hold the record for fastest reply ha!

I wanted to share a story...yesterday, I had a company retreat from 8 AM to 7 PM so I had to take our puppy to doggy daycare. Don't stop reading just because you don't like dogs. I very strategically placed Maxwell's dinner in one of your containers and left it at the dog place.
