After 45 minute flight from Amsterdam (where our European office is) we landed in Hamburg. The airport was about 20 mins from the convention center. Convention center is quite close to the city center with all the shops, restaurants and bars.
Hamburg - the second largest city in Germany and important trade place for coffee, tea and cocoa - was hosting another COTECA trade show. This show is biannual.
Exhibitors from over 40 countries attended this Europe’s largest B2B event. From coffee and tea producers, packaging companies to coffee and tea accesories. You can find anything you need here.
The part of the trade show was tea-tasting and coffee-cupping. Our friends from Kenya used our smaller containers during a tea-tasting. Coffee campus offered a lot of interesting and useful lectures.
The Senate Reception was held in the City Hall. Magnificent building. Upon entering the building- you get a feeling the time has stopped.
We tried some of the special dishes - pickled herring, currywurst and mixed berry compote with custard.
Not to forget one of the oldest Brewery in Hamburg - Holsten.
And of course delicious cup of coffee - we wouldn't expect anything less from the city that at the end of 19th century had become the largest coffee market in the world.
We will be back for 2020 Coteca!
